When I first launched this site in it’s original VooDoo Design form, there were some minor issues that didn’t seem very apparent until it went live - mostly related to usability and semantics.
In order to address these issues, I decided to rebuild the code structure, and apply some design changes that would (with luck) improve what I had already started. I like to think of this as a good design, so I want to take care of it. If this means doing a little update once in awhile for everyone’s benefit, then so be it.
Part of the difficultly, especially in what I do, is in the diversity of my content. Most bloggers have not much more than just text-relative content to focus on in their designs, where I have a lot of visual elements in my work. I only mention this because more than once during the design process, I was finding that changing one particular layout was affecting how I approach a sibling page with much different content in it. This was a struggle, but hopefully I’m on the right side of where I need to be.
I still have a few things on my list that could stand to be improved, but I’m comfortable enough with where it’s at to go live with it. The updates can come as I find time. Now, to get back to writing content!
