Upcoming events, the lack of

Following Keith and Jeff‘s lead, I thought I would also write up a quick little post about speaking engagements, events I’ll be attending (is this a new meme?).

Speaking and Attending

Let’s see… looking through the calendar, I have… well…  none!  Bad news for me, but great news for you - because that means (aside from the work I have) that I’m completely open to hearing your ideas on where I can infect the cult that is me.  I was going to be speaking at FOWD, but was pulled from the roster just before the site went live.

I also (for the first time in many years) don’t have any conference travel lined up either, since I unfortunately didn’t get corporate approval to attend SXSW in 2008 (I feel all sad and naked).  Though I am hoping to raise enough money on my own to fund the trip independently.

Never give up, never surrender

Although my presentational skills are not the greatest (ask anyone who’s heard me speak), it’s something that I have a very strong desire to keep improving.  And that improvement can only come through practice and tenaciousness (for those of you who just thought of my Artcast, be patient - I do plan on making another one very soon).  I have a great passion to spread not just ideas, but perspective.  To infect a random points of view of how to look at concepts from the eyes of an artist.  I want to teach web designers how to be more artistic in their work.
