EECI2010 is coming!
In case you weren’t aware, The ExpressionEngine and CodeIgniter Conference 2010 is coming to San Francisco next week. It's going to be held at the Fort Mason Center (by Fisherman’s Wharf). I'll be giving a workshop on the last day (Wednesday, June 3rd). If you're involved in ExpressionEngine in any way at all, I could use your help!
Do you use EE conditionals?
Here's the deal: my topic is called “Improving Curb Appeal with Conditionals”, which deals with (obviously) conditional statements – ways that we can improve the usability, findability, and readability of our websites. These will be all outlined in the presentation materials that I’m putting together (and available online after the conference is over), but I’m curious to know if there are any unique, strange, or different ways that other people use ExpressionEngine [if] statements.
If you do have an example of something you’ve done with an EE conditional, please let me know in the comments (or send me an email). If I get some interesting ones that don't overlap anything I’ve already got, then I will be sure to mention you in my talk. Which means that you'll also become immortalized on the DVD, when it comes out.
San Francisco, here I come!
I can barely contain my excitement for this conference! I’m honored that Robert Eerhart invited me to speak for the event (thank you, Robert), and I’m planning on having a great time with it. Meeting new people, seeing new places, and enjoying some relaxing beverages in the evenings. Sounds like a winning combination to me!
Oh, and hey... if you're going to be in the Bay area next week, let me know, maybe we can meet each other, say hello, and talk about truly geeky stuff. Just let me know.
