Artcast Requests

It’s been a couple of months since I’ve done an Artcast, and to be honest - it definitely isn’t for a lack of enthusiasm.  Nay, if anything I’d say that it’s more a lack of inspiration that holds back the ever-popular video podcast.

So, I turn now to you, dear audience.  What would you like to see?  More speedpaints (high-speed video with music infused in the background), more graphic design type work, more raw paint stuff (like the first ‘standing purple fuzzy’ episode), or something else entirely different?

Anyway, I’m not sure many will respond, to be honest.  Some of you will say “do whatever you want”, and others will give me responses all over the board.  But I do this show for you, so that you can get the benefit of what I already know how to do.  I endeavor to teach you my techniques, with the only problem is that there are almost too many to cover.  So let’s start with just a few ideas, so that i can see what my great audience desires, and I will be more than happy to take it from there.

Oh, and most of all - thank you for sticking around.  You’re all a great audience to have!

I vote for graphic design work…. I seem to remember you talking recently about “anti-design”, how about an example of that?

ooo, ooo, ooo… I vote for more stuff like the standing purple fuzzy or colouring line art!

I vote for some type of series to help you stay inspired…  Maybe some of your favorite techniques, some that you wish you saw more of on the Web, or maybe ones that you see done sloppily or “incorrectly” a lot of times.  You know, something to help us hacks! :-)

I’d have to say my favorite so far is the text one.  But don’t get me wrong, I love all the others too.  Just one thing to consider is that most people don’t have a wacom tablet (or other) so a lot of the more artsy stuff is hard to do.  I like the purple fuzzy and line coloring ones but I can’t really do something like that.  Just a thought to keep in mind.  And I’m asking for a pen tablet for christmas so either way. keep it up!

I would love to see some more on digital painting. Maybe something along the lines of how you go about setting up your preferences too - It would benefit me as a Wacom user but also give others an insight into how you work.

Illustration would be a good topic to cover, something similar to the tree frog?

Whatever you decide, I’ll be watching anyway, keep up the great work!

I now own a Wacom and have had a total shift of view here. The more tablet ‘casts the better!
